Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career by becoming a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007, an award of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko began career-long MMA professional career back in the year 2002 with a win over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a short time off from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Following this victory Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by back naked choke submission. It was the best fight of the night in the fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
