Ashley Graham was born on November 22nd, 1989, in Lincoln Nebraska. Two of her sisters raised her, but Graham was frequently bullied at the school because of her big legs. Graham soon after completing elementary school was diagnosed with A.D.H.D. But, she managed to conquer it, as did other obstacles in her early years. Graham, then 12 years old, was found by a Nebraska talent agent who was working in the Nebraska mall. Her image was featured in ads and magazines before she graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School. She had a unique physical appearance that made finding employment difficult when she first started. Graham took on a variety of catalog modeling offers over the years. However she was constantly told that it would be impossible for her to progress past smaller tasks. Sessions castings weren't right. Thankfully, her career exploded. Graham was later mentioned on "Glamour" magazine's "These Bodies Are Beautiful at Every Size" in the year 2009. Graham was in the news once more in 2009, after she was featured in the scandalous Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned across the globe. By the time the ad was removed from YouTube the video had already been viewed over 800,000. The situation grew uncontrollable, and Graham addressed the issue in the "Tonight Tonight Show" hosted by Jay Leno. Graham became well-known and the most sought-after plus-size women today. Grande started singing and acting at a young age. In 2008, the actress was offered a role in the Broadway show 13 which she then began appearing in TV roles of a smaller size. The first time she got a big break in 2010, when she appeared on Nickelodeon's TV show Victorious. The show featured her as Cat Valentine a teenage girl who was attending a performance art school. Sam & Cat was the spin-off of her sitcom, which was aired in 2013, after it was put on hold.
